Lasagne is one of my favourite dinners. Its packed with flavour, fills a gap and very easy to make.
Admittedly this is the cheating way, but its quick and doesn’t differ much from the original.
Enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg Beef Mince
- 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1 Onion
- 1 Large Lasagne Tomato Sauce
- 1 Large Lasagne White Sauce
- 1 Pack of Roma Lasagne Sheets
- 1 Pack of Grated Mozzarella & Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Pack of Salad Leaves
- Honey & Mustard Dressing
- Cherry Tomatos
Method
Step 1
Fry the onions to soften them up. (not too much)
Add the mince and fry until the mince is no longer red.
Note: If your mince has a lot of water after turning brown drain off the excess fluid.
Add your minced garlic & Tomato sauce and simmer for about five minutes.
Step 2
Crucial step that most people skip and it ruins the Lasagne.
Take a large Lasagne dish and add a layer of the mince to the bottom of the dish. This will steam the bottom layer of pasta and stop it from becoming chewy.
Step 3
Then start with a layer of pasta sheets.
A layer of mince.
And a layer of white sauce. Repeat the process finishing with a layer of white sauce. (be careful not to run out of mince for the top layer.)
Step 4
Cover with tinfoil and bake in the oven for 20 - 25 mins.
Remove the tinfoil and add a layer of grated cheese.
Bake for another 10 -15 minutes to melt the cheese & finish cooking the pasta.
Step 5
To make the salad:
Cut the cherry tomato's in half.
Mix with the salad leaves.
Drizzle some honey & mustard dressing over the salad.
