Poached Eggs

Poached Eggs are one of the easiest dishes to make and are a wholesome healthy meal.

Packed with protein, selenium, B12, Riboflavin and Phosphorus they are a great start to the day.


  • Eggs
  • Bread
  • Butter


Step 1

Heat about 8cm of water in a shallow frying pan and then let it barely simmer on the lowest heat. Add a little salt.

Step 2

Now crack a very fresh egg (it has to be fresh otherwise the white will run all over the pan) into a saucer and then slip it into the water.

Step 3

Keep the water on a very low simmer for 3-5 minutes depending on how soft you like them. Lift out with a slotted spoon and that's it. Serve with hot, buttered toast. Nom nom. :)
