Probably one of the tastiest dishes I have ever had and its a personal recipe too.
Pork stuffed with creme cheese, bacon, natural yogurt & apple.
Served with baked parboiled baby potatoes, sauteed onions & a coriander pepper sauce.
Ingredients
- Bacon pieces
1 Chopped apple
4 TBsp Natural Yogurt
2-3 Tsp Minced garlic
2 Onions
8 Chops
Small bag of Baby potatoes
1/4 pack of Philadelphia cheese
Pinch of Aromat
Pinch of 5 Spice
Method
Step 1
To make the stuffing:
Start with frying the bacon pieces in the pan, then add the garlic & apple, then add four tablespoons of natural yogurt. Fry for a couple of mins and then set aside in bowl to cool.
Step 2
To make the chops:
Very carefully slice a pocket in the chop.
Then spread some Philadelphia cheese inside and add the stuffing prepared earlier.
Place them on a lightly oiled oven tray and cook under the grill turning when going brown.
To finish them off baste the finishing side lightly with soya sauce to give them a nice brown rich look and flavour.
Step 3
To make the potatoes:
Parboil the potatoes. Lightly oil an oven tray then dust it with a tiny bit of Aromat & 5 Spice.
Cut the potatoes in half and place them face side down on the tray. Bake them @ 200°c until the face is golden brown (roughly 20mins)
